The First Time Around

Welcome to all!

Here we are. The first blog post. I suppose this should be full of whit and proper grammar, in hope of convincing you to come back for more.

A quick introduction: I'm Brianna. I'm 25, recently married, a first time homeowner, and a public accountant (not of the certified variety). I created this blog around the premise that I am both left and right brained. Here is a visual example: (read here for a description of the differences)

I use the left side of my brain for 9 hours a day (sometimes 13 hours during busy season). I do numbers, I do lists, I do plans. By the end of the day, the right side of my brain is screaming out for use. So I quilt, bead, paint, take pictures, and cook.

I want to share the constant struggle with you. I want to show you how I crafted our wedding, how I kept it (mostly) together, and how we paid for the entire thing ourselves. I want to show you how quilting is genuinely the best of both worlds, and the other things I do to fill my time.

In this blog, you will find wedding crafts and ideas, home organization, photography, budgeting tools, home decor, and probably quite a few pictures of our adorable Jack Russel Terrier, Sassy.

I hope you enjoy the ride, and learn a couple things in the process.
